New Wedding Stationery Products on Lily&Cino!

I'm happy to introduce a few new designs and products to the Lily&Cino wedding stationery range. The four new designs bring our overall wedding range up to 21 different designs and with on average 4 different colour options in each design and 11 matching products within each range that is almost 1000 customisable product choices (and that's just the wedding stationery!) so you're spoilt for choice!

And the new products I've added (available in the new designs and all the original designs) are:
  • Envelope Liners - I think these add a real touch of luxury to your envelope!
  • Enclosure Cards - Can be used for a number of different purposes as an accompaniment to your invitations. Give maps or directions, registry/wishing well information or details about travel or accomodation arrangements.
  • Stationery Folders - A nice way to enclose your invitation and all its accompanying bits and pieces!

Boutique Markets at Portside this Sunday!

Come and see us at the fabulous new Boutique Markets this Sunday at Portside in Hamilton. As if the lure of all the gorgeous offerings from a whole new suite of retailers isn't exciting enough, this month it's topped off by coinciding with the popular Coffee and Chocolate Affair Festival, sponsored by Lindt (need I say more!!) and featuring all sorts of tasting and demonstrations by boutique local and international coffee and chocolate companies, as well as special offers and events throughout the restaurants and shops of Portside Wharf.

Click here to view the program of events for the Coffee and Chocolate Affair. The (free!!!) barista master classes look fantastic, if I wasnt having a stall then that would be on my must do list! That and a lot of taste testing of course...

I'll be selling a range of my jewellery as well as a whole new range of retail stationery which I have designed (sneak peek below!) which is 100% recycled and vintage inspired! Come and say hello and check it out!

Markets are 8am-4pm while the festival starts at 10am and runs till 4pm.

Gift Idea: The Retirement Survival Kit

My father-in-Law recently retired after more that 40 years working on the railway in the UK. He started working as a fireman on the steam trains in the when he was 15 (see above pic) and after being a driver for many years finally retired from his passion on his 60th birthday.

It was such a momentous occasion that we decided to celebrate by giving him a really special gift which would prepare his for retirement! Now he is a very active man (golfing, walking, mountain climbing, swimming, cycling, gardening and train-spotting of course!) so retirement for him has meant an opportunity to do all those things that he didnt get time to when he was working. When you have worked for that long its going to take a bit of adjustment to get used to having so much leisure time!

Therefore our 'Retirement Survival Kit' consisted of all sorts of hand picked bits and pieces to help him enjoy the great outdoors and a few things which were just in there to give him a bit of a chuckle! I made this little instruction card (see below pics) which he really loved and gift wrapped the box and sent it over to the UK (postage costed more that the gift itself!!). Anyway I just thought I'd share this as a gift idea as it went down so well!

Thanks SHC!

Thanks to Ju over at Studio Home Creative for featuring my jewellery on her blog which promotes such great antipodean talent!

New Coco Chanel Movie!

Ooooh so excited about the new 'Coco Avant Chanel' (Coco Before Chanel) movie which is out soon, starring the lovely Audrey Tatou and directed by Anne Fontaine. It's the first of a two part series inspired by the life of the 20th century fashion icon and legend.

Tatou 'plays the legendary "Coco" Chanel in an enthralling exploration of her early life before she rose to worldwide fame as the most celebrated fashion designer of the 20th Century. We meet the young Gabrielle Chanel, illegitimate daughter of a travelling salesman who learns to sew in a Catholic orphanage before following her singing ambitions lead her to a cabaret club. It is here where Chanel earns the nickname 'Coco' and also where she catches the eye of several high society gentlemen who would ignite her passion and become instrumental in the development of her remarkable career.'

Check out the trailer here!

Chomping at the bit like me? Well if you are in Brisbane there is a special Fashionista preview at The Regent Cinema on Tuesday June 23rd. Tickets are $20 but if you fancy your luck, you can also win tickets (enter here) or otherwise purchase them here.
